Chris Pomeroy co-founded AquaLaw in 2002 with Paul Calamita. Prior to establishing AquaLaw, Chris practiced water law full-time for many years with a national law firm.
Chris focuses his water law practice primarily on representing local governments and businesses on water supply, drinking water, wastewater and stormwater matters. Of AquaLaw's broad client base across the mid-Atlantic, Chris is chiefly responsible for the firm’s extensive relationships throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Chris has helped his clients achieve a great deal of progress and success in matters ranging from substantive legislation and appropriations at the state and federal levels, long-term strategy development and implementation, and day-to-day compliance, to adversarial negotiations and proceedings such as enforcement defense and litigation.
Beyond the broadest municipal wastewater practice in Virginia, Chris advises clients with water supply projects, drinking water regulation, stormwater management, inter-jurisdictional agreements, and a variety of other water-related matters.
Chris is a former Chair of the Environmental Law Section of the Virginia State Bar.
